Producers and directors: Friend and enemies
Film directors and producers will dedicate the entire day today discussing creativity, the balance between their roles and the rights and rules of filmmaking.
The theme of the fifth edition of the International Conference "Il gusto degli altri ovvero il mio miglior nemico" (lit. “Other people’s friends or my best enemy”), organised by API (Association of Independent Producers) in collaboration with ANICA (Italian Association of Cinematographic Audiovisual and Multimedia Industries) and the RomeFilmFest, at the Horti Sallustiani in Roma from 3 pm, will be “The conflict of interest between producers and directors in the digital era”.
An introduction by the Director General of Cinema Gaetano Blandini and a presentation by Renzo Rossellini and Massimo Cristaldi will be followed by discussions by famous producer/director “couples”, such as Cristina Comencini and Riccardo Tozzi, Roberto Faenza and Elda Ferri, Ricky Tognazzi and Simona Izzo, and Oscar-winner Danis Tanovic and Cedomir Kolar.
A later panel includes talks by other producers and directors, including Carlo Carlei, Giovanna Cau, Alessandro D'Alatri, Aurelio De Laurentiis, Marco Tullio Giordana, Dave McKean, Carlo Macchitella, Moira Mazzantini and Marco Muller.
