The 4th Film Rendez-Vous will open on the morning of November 10 by Véronique Cayla (Managing Director, CNC), Peter Dinges (board member, FFA) and Dr. Klaus Schaefer(Managing Director, FFF Bayern).

The 2006 program will be presenting the following subjects:
- The development of digital projection in cinemas
- The relationship between cinema and television and developments in the field of video-on-demand
- A discussion on German-French co-productions with concrete examples
- Marketing and press strategies for the release of feature films

An innovation this year is the involvement of actors in the event: ten actors and actresses from Germany and France each will have the opportunity to introduce themselves to the producers and directors attending from both countries. Germany will be represented by such actors as Karoline Herfurth, Sabine Timoteo, Barnaby Metschurat, Max Riemelt and Matthias Schweighoefer. Amira Casar, Sara Forestier, Clotilde Hesme, Alice Taglioni and Malik Zidi are among the French talent.

The event will moreover give 20 producers the chance to pitch a new project to the Rendez-Vous participants.

The event will be rounded off on Saturday, November 11 with visits by the participants to ARRI and the Bavaria Studios.

The German-French Film Rendez-Vous Association is headed by Margaret Menegoz (president of Unifrance and managing director of Les Films du Losange), with Vice-presidents Kirsten Niehuus (managing director of Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg) and Peter Sehr (director and producer of P'Artisan Film). Yves Marmion (UGC) is the treasurer.
