Cinema Foundation established in Rome
The institutions that allocate the public funds for the RomeFilmFest – the City, Province, Region and Chamber of Commerce – have decided to create the ad hoc, independent Cinema Foundation.
Current president of Musica per Roma Goffredo Bettini will preside over a board of directors that will directly oversee the organisation of the festival, which held its first edition last month.
"The artistic part and the programme," explained Bettini, "will continue to remain in the hands of the directors who organised the first edition: Maria Teresa Cavina, Piera Detassis, Gianluca Giannelli, Giorgio Gosetti and Mario Sesti".
A new date for the festival is still being discussed, in order to avoid being excessively close to Venice Film Festival.
