Cvitkovič & co. in Finland

After being presented in Bradford, Katowice, Budapest and Siena, Slovenian cinema has now made its way to Finland with a retrospective that began on November 20 in the city of Jyväskylä with Jan Cvitkovič’s Bread and Milk.

Fourteen feature and short Slovenian films will screen through mid-December in six cinemas in Helsinki, Jyväskylä, Tampere, Oulu, Lahti and Turku.

Besides Bread and Milk, other titles include Igor Šterk’s Tuning, Spare Parts by Damjan Kozole, Ruins by Janez Burger, Metod Pevec’s Beneath Her Window, Cheese and Jam by Branko Djurič and Vinko Möderndorfer’s Suburbs [+see also:

The event was organised by the Slovenian Film Fund with the Pirkanmaa Film Centre of Tampere, one of Finland’s most active distributors and exhibitors.
