, the directorial debut of Norwegian filmmaker Joachim Trier, are the two Nordic films (among 56 foreign language films) that have been selected for consideration for this year’s 64th Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles.

After The Wedding starring Mads Mikkelsen and Rolf Lassgård and is the second most popular Danish film of the year (391,444 admissions) in Denmark. It was produced by Sisse Graum Jorgensen for Zentropa Entertainment, in co-production with After The Wedding Ltd/Sigma Films III in the UK. Trust Film Sales is handling world sales.

Reprise won the Discovery Award in Toronto last September and was released domestically the same month by Columbia Tri Star/Nordisk Film. The film was produced by 4 ½ Productions in Norway in co-production with Sweden’s FilmLance International. Nordisk Film International Sales is handling world sales.

The nominations for the Golden Globes will be announced on December 14 and the ceremony will take place in Hollywood on January 15. Both After The Wedding and Reprise are also potential candidates for the 2007 Oscars for Best Foreign Language Film.

Also selected for a Golden Globe nomination is Fyodor Bondarchuk’s Russian film 9th Company, co-produced by MRP Matila Röhr Productions in Finland.
