Scarlet Fired

After just 18 months in the job, Patric Scarlet has been replaced as head of France's prestigious Cinémathèque Française (the National Film Archive) by Patrick Bensard. Bensard, who began his career as a photographer, is the former head of the Cinémathèque de la Danse and recently directed a documentary about ballet star, Jean Babilée.
One of Bensard's first tasks will be to implement the economically-challenged CNC's (the National Film Centre) new and rather stringent financial strategy.
