This epic love story centres on a woman (Weisz) living in a remote community who struggles against isolation and a loveless relationship. A chance encounter with a mysterious drifter (Farrell) re-ignites her passion for life and allows her to break free from her past.

“At HanWay we always knew that the extraordinary love story at the heart of Dirt Music needed actors of great stature and commercial appeal. Rachel Weisz and Colin Farrell are two artists at the top of their game, who will add great marquee appeal for our international distribution partners,” said Tim Haslam, CEO of HanWay Films, which is handling world sales.
