Chiko is set in the German city’s violent, drug-ridden Mümmelmannsberg district. Written by the director himself, the story centres on a young delinquent who climbs the social ladder and ends up trafficking cocaine.
The shoot will continue in Hannover, where it will wrap up on April 12. The film is set for release at the end of this year.
