Framestores CFC awarded at the Emmys

by

The British visual effects studio Framestore CFC just won an Emmy Award last weekend for its ‘Outstanding Special Visual Effects’ on the mini-series Dinotopia produced by Hallmark and ABC Television. Its work on the BBC animated series Walking With Beasts was also rewarded as the programme won an Emmy for ‘Outstanding Animated Program’.
British Film Commissioner Steve Norris congratulated the f/x studio saying: “Framestore CFC is a world leader in visual effects and is one of a number of major companies working out of the UK on internationally financed productions. London is showing it can produce work which is just as good as that done in California - the other world centre for this kind of activity - and the UK is a hotbed of creativity”.
Other blockbusters are currently having their visual effects made by UK studios, including the new James Bond Die Another Day; Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets, and Lara Croft Tomb Raider 2.
