Two Swiss documentaries will be screening at the 14th Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival (April 19-29) in Toronto.

Currently on release in German-speaking Switzerland, Thomas Hämmerli’s Seven Dumpsters and a Corpse (Ican Films) will begin its international career in the World Showcase category, while Stefan Schwietert’s Echoes of Home (Maximage) is in the running for the Best Documentary Award in the International Spectrum section.

Premiered at the Berlinale, where it won two awards, the latter documentary also opened the Visions du Réel Festival in Nyon on April 20 (see news).
