Filmitalia offers the debut films of the "best of youth"

Michelangelo Frammartino, Paolo Sorrentino, Vincenzo Marra, Saverio Costanzo and Kim Rossi Stuart are just some of the filmmakers featuring in the retrospective "La meglio gioventù" (“The Best of Youth”), announced today at Cannes by Filmitalia, which will offer international audiences a selection of debut features by Italian filmmakers from 2000 on.
The agency for the promotion of Italian cinema abroad presided over by Irene Bignardi also announced another project, "DOC d.o.c.", organized in collaboration with the association Doc.it, of intimate political documentaries, from re-elaborations of found footage (historical documentaries, films on the memory of cinema…) to the return of the newsreel as an instrument of political counter-information, “rockumentaries”, and docudramas on life stories.
