Nordisk’s Substitute pays off

Ole Bornedal’s family thriller The Substitute [+see also:

has been a major hit for Scandinavian sales outfit Nordisk Film International Sales during Cannes.

The film sold to six territories: France (Zylo), Turkey (D Productions), Bulgaria (Pro Films), Estonia (Estin Film), Lithuania (Skalvilja Cinema) and Taiwan (Hwa-Jaan Films). The story of a substitute teacher from another planet who makes life hell for the children in her sixth grade class stars Paprika Steen and Ulrich Thomsen. SF will release the film domestically on June 15.

Another popular title according to press liaison Nikolai Korsgaard was Mirush, sold to the US (Olive Film), Benelux (A Film) and Greece (Rosebud), while festival hit Reprise [+see also:
