On the road to MIFF

Artistic Director Hisham Abdel Khalek and Film Market Director Olivier Delesse were working at full speed at the 60th Cannes International Film Festival on the final touches of the programme of the first Malta International Film Festival (MIFF), to be held from September 15-23.
MIFF will feature close to 100 films programmed in seven sections: an official international competition of 20 films, the EU Dialogue Section (a tribute to French cinema made up of 10 films), World Panorama (a tribute to Iranian Cinema, 10 films), Arabisk (dedicated to Arabic cinema with the support of Med Screen Programme of the EU, 10 films), International Panorama, Short Night (a screening of short films supported by the Euromed Café of the EU) and a tribute films section.
Beside the screenings and film market, the festival will also host an acting atelier with masterclasses held by invited actors and directors, at which local talents will participate.
