Europe Now: Ten directors heading to Karlovy Vary
Ten films by ten emerging European directors are part of this year's Variety Critics' Choice: Europe Now! section of the 42nd Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (June 29-July 7).
The titles have been programmed by the critics of international trade paper Variety in association with European Film Promotion (EFP). Directors (or lead actors) will attend the festival to promote the films on July 1-2.
The full programme combines both presentations and celebrations, including 20 screenings as well as a press luncheon and a VIP dinner hosted by the EFP. A gala party for hundreds of guests, co-sponsored by Filmstudio Gatteo and Universal Production Partners, will showcase the legendary Festival Band live in concert.
