Venezia Digitale: Conference on Converging Media Industries

by

On September 3 and 4, during the International Film Festival, Venice will host “Venezia Digitale”, a seminar to encourage the knowledge transfer between decision-makers of the film, TV, digital content, video gaming and music industries.

“The seminar will bring together content, finance and distribution,” saidThierry Baujard, CEO of peacefulfish and organiser of the conference. “There are many opportunities in the game, music, mobile and Internet markets. There are more and more of high band subscribers. There is a strong demand for multimedia content. The market is not structured and it is still difficult to understand who can win and who can lose. It appears very clear that traditional players need to adapt rapidly to the new environment. The telecommunication organisations must increase programming, but they also need to make large investments. The Pay-TV stations will probably be in direct competition with the Internet operators. The seminar will be a great occasion to understand what are the latest trends in financing cross media projects”.
