12 German films and co-productions at Edinburgh

A total of 12 German (co)productions will be shown at the 61st Edinburgh International Film Festival (August 15-26). Founded in 1947 as a documentary festival, it is the oldest continuously held festival in the world and over time came to present films of all genres from around the globe.

film profile] by Bela Tarr (France/Germany/Hungary) will screen in the Directors’ Showcase .
The Rosebud section will present Amour fou (Auftauchen) by Felicitas Korn as well as the international co-productions Blind Mountain by Li Yang (Germany/Hong Kong/China) and Faro: Goddess of the Waters by Salif Traoré (Germany/France/Canada/Mali/Burkina Faso).
The Document sidebar will feature Castells by Gereon Wetzel, Comrades in Dreams by Uli Gaulke and Traders’ Dreams by Stefan Tolz and Marcus Vetter while the Gala section is presenting the German-Austrian co-production The Counterfeiter [+see also:
