Young talents have 15 days left to make it to Hannover
The Hannover up-and-coming Festival, held every two years since 1982, has extended its closing dates for entries until September 1 in spite of the fact that 2,000 applications have already been received. The festival presents an award for Best Young German Talent.
Created in 2005, the award aims to promote dialogue between young creators and professional film directors. The three winners will receive a €1,500 grant, as well as a cinema "patron". This year’s patrons are producers Regina Ziegler and Peter Rommel and Oscar-winning special effects expert Volker Engel (Independence Day).
