After an outing at Toronto earlier this month, Swiss cinema is returning to Canadian soil once again for the 26th Vancouver International Film Festival (September 27-October 12).

Three Swiss titles will screen at the festival: Oliver Paulus and Stefan Hillebrand’s feature So Long, My Heart! [+see also:

film profile] (Motorfilm) and documentaries Echoes of Home by Stefan Schwietert (Maximage) and Benoît Rossel’s Le théâtre des opérations (PCT cinéma-télévision).

Three Swiss minority co-productions have been selected. Italian helmer Gianni Amelio will present The Missing Star [+see also:

film profile] (Carac Film), while two films by German directors – Maria Speth’s Madonnas (Cineworx) and Hartmut Bitomsky’s Dust (Dschoint Ventschr) – will also screen.
