24 German titles at Warsaw Film Fest

Three German (co)productions will compete at the 23rd International Film Festival in Warsaw (October 12-21): And Along Come Tourists [+see also:

by Robert Thalheim (in the New Films, New Directors section), A Story of People in War & Peace by Vardan Hovhannisyan and The Mosquito Problem and Other Stories by Andrey Paounov (the latter two in the Documentary Competition).

Moreover, the festival will be presenting the German Panorama sidebar in collaboration with German Films for the sixth time. This year’s program, selected by the festival, features 13 films and will open on October 13 with Ann-Kristin ReyelsHounds [+see also:

, in the presence of the lead actor Constantin von Jascheroff.

The following documentaries will also screen: Havanna – Die neue kunst, ruinen zu bauen by Florian Borchmeyer and Matthias Hentschler, How to Cook Your Life by Doris Doerrie, Ostpunk! Too Much Future by Carsten Fiebeler and Michael Boehlke and Sons by Volker Koepp.

The short film programs Next Generation 2007 and Next Generation 1998-2007, as well as Claudia Lehmann’s short Memoryeffekt, will complete the line-up of films on offer.

Part of the Warsaw program will then be shown at the Days of German Cinema in Cracow (October 26-November 1), which are organised by German Films with the Nuremberg House in Cracow. This event will open with And Along Come Tourists [+see also:
