On September 27, Frédéric Choffat’s Real Life is Elsewhere (Rita Productions ) won the Wave for Best International Film at the 21st Acadie International Francophone Film Festival (FICFA), held in Moncton, Canada.
The feature (winner of the Audience Award at the 2006 Tübingen Francophone Film Festival) won “for a script full of twists and turns, for its astonishing discourse on loneliness and its poetic images”.
Meanwhile, on September 30, the jury of the 13th Athens International Film Festival awarded its Golden Athena Best Music & Film Award to Stefan Schwietert’s Swiss documentary Echoes of Home [+see also:

A winner of two awards at the Berlinale and the Audience Award at the Nyon Visions du Réel Festival earlier this year, the film opens in German-speaking cantons through Look Now! on October 18.
