Juan Antonio Bayona’s feature debut The Orphanage [+see also:

film profile] has become the most successful Spanish production of 2007. Released on Thursday, October 11 by Warner Bros, the film attracted over one million moviegoers and grossed nearly €6m in only four days on screens.
The year had so far been a bad one with local production causing very little impact on the box office (news).
