Over €1.3m for three co-productions

At its last co-production funding allocation session, the Franco-German commission announced its support for three film projects, with €599,317 granted on the German side and €750,000 on the French.

For Ludi Boeken’s Unter Bauern, a majority German co-production (at 80%), €200,000 was granted to FilmForm Köln and €150,000 to Paris-based Acajou Films.

The two other projects financed are majority French co-productions (at 70 and 75% respectively): Gaspar Noé’s Enter the Void obtained €200,000 for Berlin-based Essential Filmproduktion (who are making a 20% investment) and €300,000 for Fidelité Films; while Caroline Bottaro’s Die Schachspielerin was allocated €199,317 for Munich-based Blueprint Film and €300,000 for Parisian company Mon Voisin Productions.

The next session of the Franco-German commission will be held in Berlin on March 7, 2008. The deadline for sending applications is February 1.
