by

The International Festival of Animated Film AniFest has unveiled the competition categories for its 7th edition, which will be held in the city of Třeboň (May 7-13, 2008).

Submissions are now open for the seven categories: Very Short Films (shorter than five minutes long), Short Films (5-60 minutes long), Feature-Length Films (60 minutes or more), Television Films and Serials, Video Clips, Advertisements, Introductory Spots, Internet Animation and Student Films.

Several parallel events are also being planned, under the general title of ProfiForum, including a new non-competitive section called ‘CAS Presentation’. With the emphasis on Czech, Slovak and Austrian animated films produced in last two years, 'CAS' also aims to promote exchanges between filmmakers and producers and encourage discussion about films with the participation of film theorists.
