Austrian cinephiles can take advantage of special cinema events in Vienna. The Cinema under the Stars in Augarten includes in it's summer programming a special section on the 50s horror films of the British Hammer studios. The `Film Archiv Austria´ celebrates the Austrian cinematographic production of the last ten years. Votiv theatre offers a selection of european films and previews.
At the same time, Der Schuh des Manitu gets a second opportunity to seduce Austrian audiences. The western comedy of TV comedian Michael «Bully» Herbig, that became a success phenomenon last summer in Germany and received many German film awards, is coming back to Austria this summer. It is distributed under the title Der Schuh des Manitu - Extra Large with added scenes.
