Abrahamson’s next set for Berlin bow

film profile] team’s next venture, Prosperity, a series of four loosely connected mini television features made for RTE Ireland, has been acquired by the High Point Media Group. Rather than launch at the usual TV market MIPTV, the company is planning to launch at the Berlin film market.
Prosperity, created by the director/writer/producer team of Lenny Abrahamson, Mark O’Halloran and Ed Guiney, features misfits eking out their lives over a 24 hour period on Dublin’s economic fringes.
High Point’s Carey Fitzgerald said, “TV is too often seen as cinema's inferior sidekick, but it's through internationally recognised directors such as Lenny Abrahamson, bringing their talent and vision to people’s living rooms that this perception can change.”
