Arn smashes box office

continues to make headlines in Sweden. The epic movie known as the most expensive feature project ever made in Scandinavia, has garnered over 653,000 admissions in just two weeks, following a record opening two days in Sweden on December 25-26 with 160,310 admissions from 207 screens.

Last weekend, Peter Flinth’s ambitious adventure movie released by SF Film topped the Swedish Top Ten for the second time in a row, beating out Bee Movie and Enchanted.

“It is the best performing local production in Sweden up to date,” said Eva Svendenius, head of distribution for SF Film.

In Norway, where the film was released by SF on Boxing Day, the film was third in the Top Ten last weekend with over 101,000 admissions from 64 prints.
