Julia and Lady Jane to fly French flag at Berlin
Two French films will be in competition at the 58th Berlinale (February 7-17).
Having narrowly missed inclusion in competition at the Venice Film Festival due to editing complications, Erick Zonca will accompany his film Julia [+see also:

Produced by Les Productions Bagheera, the second film by the director of The Dreamlife of Angels (Best Actress Award at Cannes 1998) had a budget of €6.5m, including a €1.1m investment by France 3 Cinéma and pre-sales from Canal +.
The title is co-produced by French company Le Bureau and Belgian company Motion Investment Group, with a 10.5% investment. StudioCanal are handling international sales.

Starring Ariane Ascaride, Jean-Pierre Darroussin and Gérard Meylan, this Agat Films production is also backed by France 3 Cinéma (€800,000 in co-production support and pre-sales for an overall budget of €4.1m).
Films Distribution are handling sales and the film will be released in France on April 9 by Diaphana.
