Hello Goodbye lauded at Saarbrücken
The Interfilm jury at the 29th Max Ophüls Prize Film Festival, which was held from January 14-20 in Saarbrücken (Germany), honoured Stefan Jäger’s Hello Goodbye (Tellfilm).
The jury’s motivation was the following: "The Swiss film crew tackles the controversial issue of assisted suicide without being at all moralising or lapsing into voyeurism. Viewers are encouraged to make up their own mind and freely form their own opinion."
Nur ein Sommer by German director Tamara Staudt picked up the DEFA Foundation Encouragement Award. This film, co-produced by Zurich-based company Dschoint Ventschr, stars Swiss actors Stefan Gubser, Peter Wyssbrod and Stephanie Glaser.
