Besides a wealth of international titles, Wild Bunch’s Berlin line-up also offers an impressive showcase of French films, with an abundance of promotional reels.

The programme includes Gilles BourdosAfterwards, starring Romain Duris and John Malkovich; Claire DenisWhite Material, starring Isabelle Huppert; Agnès Merlet’s Dorothy Mills, featuring Carice Van Houten; Philippe Muyl’s Magic, with Marie Gillain; and Fabrice du Weltz’s Vinyan, starring Emmanuelle Béart and Rufus Sewell (pre-bought in Europe for France, Benelux, the UK, Switzerland, the Baltic countries, Romania, Greece, Bulgaria, the countries of the former Yugoslavia and German-speaking countries).

Titles in post-production intended for the next major festivals include Arnaud Desplechin’s Un conte de Noël (“A Christmas Tale”) and Bruno Podalydes’s Bancs publics (“Public Stands”).

Other noteworthy films in post-production include Mr. Nobody by Belgian director Jaco van Dormael; Jérôme Salle’s Largo Winch (pre-bought in Europe for France, Greece, the countries of the former Yugoslavia, Bulgaria, Hungary, the Baltic countries, the Czech Republic and Slovakia); the documentary Hollywood, I’m Sleeping Over Tonight; and Marina de Van’s Ne te retourne pas (“Don’t Turn Around”), starring Sophie Marceau and Monica Bellucci.

Wild Bunch will also be hoping for success with a selection of 14 films presented as market screenings, including Samuel Benchetrit’s J’ai toujours voulu être un gangster (“I Always Wanted to be a Gangster”, which recently won the Best Screenplay Award at the Sundance festival); Vera Belmont’s Survivre avec les loups (“Survive With Wolves”); the animated feature Go West: A Lucky Luke Adventure; the documentary Le premier cri (“The First Cry”); and Marc Caro’s science fiction thriller Dante 01.
