Romanian new wave washes up in Rome
The Romanian Academy in Rome if offering Italian audiences a look at some of the most recent films from a country whose film industry is enjoying a moment of great creative energy.
The four-day event will kick off on March 13 at the Casa del Cinema in Rome with a round table that will give the public a chance to meet some of the protagonists of the Romanian “new wave”: director Cătălin Mitulescu (How I Spent the End of the World [+see also:

film profile], 2006); Bogdan Mustata, the young winner of the Golden Bear in Berlin for his short film O zi buna de plaja (A Good Day for a Swim); and screenwriter and actress of California Dreamin' [+see also:
