French film in ten UK cities

Having opened on March 7, the 16th edition of the French Film Festival UK is underway until Thursday in ten UK cities.

Supported by Unifrance, Scottish Screen and Europa Cinemas, the event is being held in London, Cardiff, Birmingham and Manchester-Didsbury thanks to the partnership of Cineworld multiplexes, as well as in Edinburgh (Filmhouse), Glasgow (GFT), Dundee (DCA), Aberdeen (Belmont), Warwick (Arts Centre ) and for the first time in Inverness (Eden Court).

The honorary president of the festival is director Sylvain Chomet (Belleville Rendez-vous [+see also:

), who is currently putting the finishing touches to his new film L’illusionniste (“The Illusionist”) in Edinburgh.

The event is being attended by Jean-Pierre Darroussin, Pierre Salvadori, Damien Odoul, Jean Becker, Melvil Poupaud, Lola Doillon, Lionel Bailliu, Danielle Arbid and Serge Bozon.
