Cinecittà Holding honours technical talent
The nominees were announced this morning for the second edition of the 2008 Cinecittà Holding Awards, presented to the technical talent in cinema.
Speaking at the press conference, Alessandro Battisti, president of Cinecittà Holding, said: “As of this year, the event will also have the prestigious patronage of the president of the Republic”.
There are 13 overall categories (Assistant Director, Production Design, Costume Design, Set Decorator, Cinematography, Special Effects, Post-Production, Sound Technical, Hair Designer, Make-up Artist, Production Manager, Continuity, Casting Director), as well a special award that will be given to architect-production designer Mario Garbuglia for a career that spans over 50 years.
The winners will be announced on April 28.
