More than 100 European and American producers took part in the 11th CRC Capital Regions for Cinema co-production meetings run by the Rome & Lazio Film Commission with the three other members of the network of Film Commissions in the European regions of Ile de France, Comunidad de Madrid and Berlin-Brandenburg. US producers invited by the New York State Film Commission met their counterparts from the European sector with a view to stimulating new co-productions.

"This is just the start of a more wide-ranging collaboration, to be further developed during the 12th CRC co-production meetings, scheduled during the Rome Film Fest in October", said general manager Cristina Priarone.

Collaboration between the Rome & Lazio Film Commission and the New York State Film Commission will be further expanded with the CRC initiative to develop European cinema, to be held in New York in the coming months, put on with the contribution of the most important institutions and associations from the American cinema industry.

Further CRC activities held in collaboration with the Rome & Lazio Film Commission include the organisation of a round table debate in Paris in November to discuss new European openings in the sphere of special effects, to involve Italy’s leading protagonists in the field, with a view to developing the European post-production market on an international level.
