Nielsen named new chairman of Think Tank
by Annika Pham
Danish Film Institute CEO Henrik Bo Nielsen has been appointed chairman of the European Think Tank on Film and Film Policy, thus replacing Anders Geertsen, during the organisation’s first general assembly.
Established in 2007 under the Danish initiative, with former DFI CEO Henning Camre as general manager, the European Think Tank has members in Poland, Spain, the UK, and France. Last year, the initiative organised a three-day workshop in Vienna to discuss the factors influencing European films’ opportunities to enter the international marketplace.
The next workshop in Krakow, Poland, in September, will examine the way public institutions adapt to the challenges brought by the global film industry and digital revolution. The Think Tank will be held under the auspice of the Council of Europe’s Film Policy Forum.
