Alain Tanner crowned Doctor Honoris Causa

by

For the first time in Switzerland, a film director has been awarded the honorary title of Doctor Honoris Causa. This distinction celebrates the work of Alain Tanner (79), who made his last film in 2004, symbolically entitled Paul s’en va (“Paul Is Leaving”).

The director of Charles, Dead or Alive, The Salamander, In the White City and Jonah Who Will Be 25 in the Year 2000…, was an ardent supporter of the young people’s revolts at the end of 1969. He receives his honorary award from the University of Lausanne.
