Coppola shoots last leg of Tetro in Alicante

by

US director Francis Ford Coppola has relocated his cast and crew from Argentina to the Spanish city of Alicante to shoot the final part of his new film, Tetro, at the Ciudad de la Luz complex.

The director of The Godfather has been in the city a few days and has visited the studios where he will be filming for two weeks.

The $15m Tetro is an international co-production between Argentina’s Zoetropa, Spain’s Tornasol Films and Italian companies Castafiore and BIM Distribuzione.

The film tells the story of a family of Italian emigrants, torn apart by rivalry, tragedy and betrayal. The cast – headed by US actor Vincent Gallo – also includes Spanish actresses Maribel Verdú and Carmen Maura.
