The Stockholm-based sales outfit NonStop Sales has sold the 3D animation film Gnomes & Trolls, The Secret Chamber to SF for the five Nordic territories. The Swedish theatrical release is set for April 2009.
"SF has a long and successful history in both production and distribution for children and family films. It's very exciting to work with Gnomes & Trolls, The Secret Chamber as it is something brand new within Swedish 3D animation for children", said Tobias Lennér, head of the Swedish theatrical division at SF. The film produced by White Shark AB together with Oscar nominated executive producers Joel Cohen and Alec Sokolow (writers of Toy Story) was licensed to over 70 territories. The second film Gnomes and Trolls The Forest Trial is in production and will be delivered for Cannes 2009.
The sales company part of the Millennium Media Group also announced that it has picked up the Finnish family film Stormheart (Myrsky) for world distribution. The adventures of the friendly Caucasian shepherd Stormheart, lenced by Kaisa Rastimo, has sold over 78,000 tickets at home and is still playing on 45 screens through Walt Disney Studios Finland. The film will soon screen at the Cinekid Festival in Amsterdam (October 1926).
