film profile] – which was launched last Thursday by Prokino on 160 screens – has won over German audiences and claimed second place in the week-end box office rankings (after Disney film High School Musical 3 and its 400,000 admissions). The film amassed €953,908 in box office takings and accounted for 143,664 admissions (according to kinozeit) out of a total 1.7m in German theatres between Friday and Sunday.
Occupying third position in the weekend rankings is Joseph Vilsmaier’s German comedy Die Geschichte vom Brandner Kaspar [+see also:

film profile], starring the popular Michael "Bully" Herbig. The title was released by Concorde three weeks ago.
Next in line are Marco Kreuzpaintner’s fantasy film, Krabat [+see also:
