picked up Best Film and Best Director at the closing ceremony of the 18th Fancine - Malaga Fantasy Film Festival, held from November 6-14 in the Andalusian city.

The fantasy vampire story thus continues to enjoy success, after winning the top prize at Tribeca and the Golden Méliès for Best European Fantasy Film of the Year. In Spain, the title will be released shortly by Karma Films.

Other prize-winners include Patrik Syversen’s Norwegian film Manhunt, which scooped Best Actress (Henriette Brusgaard); and Silvana Zancolo’s Italian title The Shadow Within, which won Best Cinematography (DoP Pier Luigi Santi).

Best Special Effects went to Pete Riski’s Finnish film Dark Floors and a Special Mention to Gunnar Gudmundsson’s Icelandic work Dorks and Damsels.
