Two years after the US producer (Szervét) of Tamas’ film ran off with their money and Akos’ (Oroszlán) girlfriend, the trio go to New York to try to track them down. They become embroiled in a host of new incidents related to a theatre project which is of interest to a mafioso.

Produced for Skyfilm by Herendi (who also directed Magyar Vándor in 2004 and Lora: A Story about Love in 2007) and Ágnes Havas, A Kind of America 2 was made for €1.4m. This included backing from the Motion Picture Public Foundation of Hungary. Budapest Films are releasing the title on 44 screens.
