It was a triumphant night for Britain at the 66th Golden Globe Awards as the UK swept most of the major prizes including quadruple wins for Slumdog Millionaire [+see also:

Slumdog Millionaire won Best Motion Picture – Drama, Best Director – Motion Picture for Danny Boyle, Best Screenplay – Motion Picture for Simon Beaufoy and Best Original Score – Motion Picture for AR Rahman.

Boyle said, “Your mad, pulsating affection for our film is much appreciated. Really, deeply appreciated. We never expected to be here.”

Winslet had a night to remember as she took home both Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama for Revolutionary Road [+see also:
