Rome IFF: Detassis new artistic director, Cicutto heads Business St
Piera Detassis, who coordinated the last edition of the Rome International Film Festival, has been named the new artistic director. Producer Roberto Cicutto is the new director of the festival market, Business Street, replacing Giorgio Gosetti, who stepped down last November.
They were chosen today by the board of directors of the Rome Film Foundation, after being nominated by festival president Gian Luigi Rondi.
Mario Sesti and Gianluca Giannelli were reconfirmed to again head the sidebar sections L’altro cinema and Alice in the City, respectively.
The festival’s dates have also been set for next three years: October 15-23 (2009), October 29-November 6 (2010) and October 28-November 5 (2011).
