Hot off the press is a joint video interview with two spirited women, Fien Troch and Emmanuelle Devos, the director and leading actress of Unspoken [+see also:

, which was released in Belgium this week.

The young Flemish director discusses her "confined, claustrophobic drama" in which a little girl’s disappearance reveals how communication has broken down within a couple.

Devos admits that she was unsure about making the film, after reading the synopsis alone. In the screenplay, she then recognised a true cinematic style, which is neither overly psychological nor melodramatic, and which deftly explores the painful, everyday reality of loss. The actress also speaks of her fondness for young Belgian cinema which is aesthetic without being contrived, and avant-garde without being elitist.

Another major news item is the opening of Cinematek. This new film museum will enable visitors to rediscover the gems of the collection, as well as the restored building by Victor Horta.

Cinergie also met with Belgian producer Viviane Flateren of Vivi Film, who produced the animated feature Brendan and the Secret of Kells [+see also:
