The new-found director has put together an impressive cast that includes Benoît Magimel, François-Xavier Demaison (Coluche [+see also:
film profile]), Julie Gayet (Shall We Kiss? [+see also:

Co-written by the director and his usual collaborator Laurent Tirard (with whom Vigneron last year shared a nomination for the Best Original Screenplay Cesar), Sans laisser de traces centres on Etienne (Magimel). Happily married to Clémence (Gayet), he is about to take over from his father-in-law at the head of an industrial company that makes cleaning products, but his chance meeting with childhood friend Patrick turns everything upside down.
Etienne confesses to him that he owes the rapid rise of his career to the fact that, 12 years previously, he stole the formula for a stain remover sent by Michelet, a humble and lonely chemist. Patrick encourages Etienne to ease his conscience by finding Michelet and repaying him.
But things go awry when Patrick kills Michelet and persuades Etienne not to inform the police. Although Etienne tries to continue life as usual, it gradually turns into a nightmare. Harassed by Patrick, under investigation by the police, misunderstood by Clémence, Etienne also falls under the spell of Michelet’s daughter, Fleur (Seydoux).
Shooting kicked off on February 9 and wraps April 3. Domestic distribution and international sales will be handled by Wild Bunch.
