AG Kino Gilde launches nationwide discount card
German exhibitors association AG Kino Gilde is launching a new discount card, the Gildepass, in many of its member cinemas.
The card – which entitles holders to reduced admission prices in participating theatres – costs €6 and remains valid for a year after purchase. It is the only discount card that can be used nationwide.
Eva Matlok – director of AG Kino Gilde – has highlighted the advantages of the card which, "bought in Berlin, is valid in Essen as it is in Munich. Moreover, the reduction takes effect immediately".
Matlok also specified that numerous other cinemas are expected to join the scheme shortly. In the meantime, the card will soon be valid in around 60 establishments.
