Constantin reports increased turnover and profit
Despite the financial crisis, leading German company Constantin Film AG has posted very positive results for 2008, with a 10.4% increase in turnover (€248.5m compared to €225m in 2007) and a 21.6% rise in profit (€15.1m compared to €12.4m in 2007).
Turnover from the company’s film distribution activities amounted to €31.1m (compared to €33.4m for the previous year), representing 13% of the total figure.
Results for domestic production rose to €25.4m (from €21.2m in 2007), thanks mainly to the hit success of The Baader Meinhof Complex [+see also:

Turnover from video-DVD activities dropped to €40.9m (compared to €44.7m in 2007), but the television arm saw a clear upturn in results. Shareholders will also be pleased at the increased value of their shares.
Despite the tense market situation, Constantin forecasts €220-240m in turnover and €10-12m in profit for 2009.
