German docs in Paris, Prague and beyond

A total of nine German productions are screening at the one of the world's foremest documentary film festivals, Cinéma du Réel, currently running in Paris through March 17.
All the Children but One by Andreas Bolm and Noëlle Pujol, Sabrina Wulff’s Redemption, Victor Asliuk’s Robinsons of Mantsinaari (Germany/Finland/Poland) and the short film Left Behind by Fabian Daub and Andreas Graefenstein have been selected in the International Competition.
Helga Reidemeister’s War and Love in Kabul, Harun Farocki’s In Comparison and the co-production Oblivion (Netherlands/Germany) by Heddy Honigmann will be presented in the News From sidebar. Moreover, Farocki’s Videogramme Einer Revolution and Juergen Reble’s Chicago are also screening in a retrospective.
The One World International Human Rights Documentary Film Festival, which opens today in Prague, has ten German productions programmed. Aysun Bademsoy’s In the Game and Honigmann’s Oblivion will screen in the Main Competition, Eva Stotz’s The Devil Hides in Doubt and the co-production The Flower Bridge by Thomas Ciulei in Panorama, and Ben Kempas’ Upstream Battle in A Blue and Green Planet.
The retrospective 20 Years of Democracy in Film will feature Gerd Kroske’s Kehraus, Wieder, Thomas Heise’s Mein Bruder – We’ll Meet Again and We'll Be Keeping On by Wolfgang Ettlich.
One World is one of the leading festivals in Europe with a focus on human rights. After Prague, the festival moves to various Czech cities as well as Brussels and Washington D.C..
