Nackt enjoys a successful opening

On its first week on general release in Gemany, Nackt, the latest film by Dorris Doerrie that represented Germany at the last Venice Film Festival, was seen by 230,000 filmgoers and shot to the Number 2 slot in the German box office. Nackt is a modern story about the problems encountered by three couples in their thirties and the cast includes some of Germany’s finest new acting talent like Heike Makatsch, Benno Fuermann, Nina Hoss and Juergen Voegel. Doerrie uses this latest film to ask whether love can survive marriage. Nackt features a number of themes like love, career, friendship and conflict that are common to many of Doerrie’s earlier features like Men, Nobody Loves Me and Am I Beautiful?. Nackt is based also written by the director entitled Happy. Ein Drama and was produced by Constantin Film Production, with production and distribution funding also from the Bavarian Film Fund.
