ACTORS Spain

No to cuts

by

FAEE, the Spanish actors’ federation, called the request made by Eduardo Campoy, president of the Spanish audiovisual producers’ association (FAPAE), to accept lower salaries “innorportune”, given that “negotiations for a collective contract between actors and audiovisual producers are currently underway.”
Early last week Campoy spoke of the need to maintain costs as a way of avoiding further distress to the already troubled Iberian film industry. One of the leading dissenters is Javier Bardem who said, “I want to be paid for what I produce. And that’s all.”
