DFI on the side of teenagers
- Danish Film Institute is to fund two feature films about the trials and tribution of being a teenager in Denmark today
The Danish Film Institute (DFI) announced it was funding two feature films about the problems of adolescence. To ryk og en aflevering was produced by Jutlandia Film , and cost Dkr10 million (Euros 1.3million), half of which from the DFI. It is the story of a 16-year-old who spends his time either playing soccer or reading pornographic magazines while fantasising about his girlfriend.
S-Tog (S-Train) directed by Vibe Mogensen, Jesper Jackand Mette Ann Schepelern follows a multi-ethnic group of teens around for a year and is budgeted at Dkr7.7 million (Euros1million), Dkr1.3 million (Euros 177,000) of which from the DFI. S-Tog will be made into a feature and a 10-part television series.
